Aquamarines name comes from the Latin “Aqua marina” meaning sea water. Aquamarine is a very rare stone that has a long history. The history of Aquamarine dates back to the Ancient Egyptian times and beyond, well over four thousand years ago. The first recorded use of this mineral was around 400 B.C. in Greece but has been used throughout multiple societies for over 2,000 years. In ancient civilizations, Aquamarine was valued not only for its beauty but also for its therapeutic and spiritual benefits.
