HISTORY
Known since 500 BC Citrine has always been popular since ancient Greece. Citrine derives its name from the French word “citron,” which translates to lemon.
During the time of the Greeks Citrine was considered a good luck charm. Ancient Greeks and Romans believed that the stone could protect against evil thoughts and other cultures of the time believed it would bring prosperity to individuals who held the stone. Citrine was often carried as a protective stone against snake venom and evil thoughts.
