HISTORY

Rose Quartz is also called Pink Quartz or Hyaline Quartz and takes its name from the pale pink hue of its coloring and from the Greek word Hyalos which means glass.  It was referred to in antiquity as a Bohemian or Silesian Ruby. To understand the history of Rose Quartz, we need to travel back to ancient civilizations. The discovery of Rose Quartz dates back to 7000 BC in Mesopotamia (today’s Iraq). Around 800-600 BC, Assyrians were skilled in fashioning Rose Quartz jewelry, possibly making them among the earliest users of this stone, alongside the Romans.
